A Different Approach
Grounded in clinical expertise. Committed to the deeper work of whole-person healing.
At the heart of my approach is integration, not simply improving or coping. We make space to understand the past honestly, become more attuned to what’s happening in the present, and move toward the future with hope, curiosity, and intention. That can look like Story Work, emotional processing, attachment work, nervous system awareness, and identity formation.
My work is backed by a quiet confidence in my training, a constant curiosity about what I’ve yet to learn, and a steady sense that meaningful work is worth doing.
What if the challenging parts of you that you’ve been trying to manage are actually asking to be understood?
Hi, I’m Katy
My own experience with medical trauma introduced me to suffering early. It also taught me how deeply people need to be seen, understood, and met with compassion. I carried that curiosity into my work as a counselor, where I became especially passionate about soul care, identity, spiritual formation, and the stories that shape us.
I created my practice to offer something different: a place to roll up your sleeves, stare truth in the face, do the hard work, and attend to the whole picture of your life.
With clinical expertise, lived experience, and a willingness to guide you into the deep end, I help you understand what has shaped you—not simply so you can feel better, but so you can live with greater emotional integrity (Honesty with self, God, and others), wholeness, and freedom.

How We Help
Identity + Self-Understanding
Exploring who you are beneath the expectations, adaptations, and patterns you’ve developed over time. This includes identity formation, values, beliefs, gifts, calling, and becoming more attuned to your needs and internal world.
Trauma + Anxiety
Making sense of the ways trauma and anxiety affect your mind, body, relationships, identity, and daily life. This includes complex PTSD, GAD, OCD, and medical trauma.
Emotional Health + Integrity
Learning to recognize, process, and respond to your emotions with honesty and compassion. Katy often uses the language of emotional integrity—being honest with yourself, God, and others about what is true, what is painful, and what you need.
Body + Nervous System
Developing greater awareness of your body and physiology in real time. Through Body IQ, mindfulness, and nervous system work, Katy helps clients understand their body's responses and learn to see the nervous system as a valuable ally in healing.
Relationships + Attachment
Understanding how early relationships and attachment experiences have shaped the way you connect, communicate, protect yourself, and relate to others. This can include enmeshment, estrangement, triangulation, scapegoating, and relational conflict.
Life Transitions/Integration
Making sense of seasons of change, disruption, or uncertainty and finding a more integrated way forward. The goal isn't simply to return to “normal,” but to understand what has changed and move toward the future with hope, curiosity, and intention.
-
I pay attention to what is happening beneath the surface. I listen carefully to my clients’ words, emotions, bodies, stories, and needs so we can notice what may have been overlooked and respond with curiosity and care.
-
I believe you are an active participant in your own healing. I honor my clients’ capacity to make choices, take action, and have a voice in their treatment, while helping them develop greater confidence and ownership in caring for themselves.
-
I don’t approach therapy lightly. I thoughtfully explore the deeper patterns, wounds, beliefs, and experiences that shape a person. I honor each client’s pace while creating space for meaningful and deep work.
-
I believe every person has inherent worth. I honor their value and story from the beginning.
-
Healing happens in the context of safe and skillful relationships. I prioritize trust, secure connection, and healthy repair as essential parts of the therapeutic relationship.
-
I bring warmth and humanity while honoring the boundaries, integrity, and professionalism that make therapy a safe and trustworthy space.
